Great script! One question: can you modify it for logging in /var/log/zombie.log the name of the zombie process?

yum install `cat packages.txt | awk ‘ { print $1 } ‘ `

Something like that lets you install packages on a RPM based system, listed in a text file. Simetimes i686 vs x86_64 can cause a hangup.
